Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta 531 Analogue camera

Up for auction: a splendid, solid, and fascinating vintage medium-format rangefinder camera—the Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta Model 531, produced in Germany by Zeiss Ikon in Stuttgart between the 1930s and the 1950s. The lot presents in good overall cosmetic condition, with functional manual mechanical movements, and is complete with its original optical-mechanical assembly featuring a collapsible aperture. Optics: The camera carries the original Zeiss-Ikon Novar-Anastigmat 1:3.5 f=75mm lens. The lenses show no deep scratches; only a normal, widespread, light vintage patina paired with minimal physiological dirt from the decades that have passed. These details are entirely normal and do not in any way compromise the piece’s great historical and collecting charm. Mechanical: The lot is mechanically functional at a manual level. The mechanical central shutter responds correctly to the controls, firing regularly at the various adjustable speeds. Aesthetics: Good overall cosmetic condition, as documented by the photographs. The solid and robust metal body preserves its original black textured leatherette covering, showing the classic and normal signs of surface wear, localized wear along the edges, and a beautiful historic patina. International tracked shipping, fully insured and professionally extra-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
