Zeiss Ikon Juwel 275/11 Large format camera

Zeiss Ikon Juwel 275/11 13×18 cm (5×7″) camera, no. 371939, fitted with a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 21 cm f/4.5 lens in a Compur shutter. The Juwel is one of the most refined all-metal technical cameras of the interwar years, known for its sturdy build, precision and wide range of movements. The 21 cm Tessar is the standard focal length for this format. The camera has had a full service (CLA). He even wrote on the back of a print from that time: "This is the first good picture made with the Zeiss Jewel 5 x 7". The camera offered here is an example of the same model. It did not belong to Ansel Adams.
