About the artist: Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her entrepreneurial vision with a deep artistic sensibility. This young Cuban talent has established herself in the realm of digital art, using contemporary means to explore themes related to nature, landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works address with subtlety and visual strength themes such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres. With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value. Shipping and presentation: The work will be carefully packed by a professional and shipped in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. Deliveries are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx, or Correos Spain, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case. Estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country. The image shows a female angel seated on rocks beside the sea, in an introspective and melancholic attitude. Her white wings, softly gathered back, contrast with the marble-like fluidity of the light dress that falls in natural folds. The scene is bathed in a diffuse light that enhances the tenderness of the volumes and the softness of the color palette, dominated by beiges, ochres, and marine blues. The technical execution directly references the academicism of the 19th century, particularly artists such as Bouguereau, Cabanel, or even certain passages of the Symbolist school. However, the scene does not aim to narrate a concrete mythological or religious story, but to generate an intimate emotional state. The low perspective and the closed composition with the sea in the background reinforce the emotional isolation of the character, while the detail in the texture of the wings, hair, and rocks underscores the intention to make tangible an invisible emotion. This work can be read as an allegory of grief, contemplation, or inner silence. The angel — traditionally a symbol of the sacred, the divine messenger, or consolation — is presented here in an unusually human attitude: resting, meditating, perhaps silently weeping. The closeness of the sea, ancient symbol of memory, emotions, and the immeasurable, reinforces this reading. A symbolic narrative about the fragility of the soul is suggested, even for celestial beings. The angel, far from heroism or omnipotence, becomes a mirror of our deepest emotions. The work invites reflection, respect for one’s own or others’ pain, and the pause needed in times of upheaval. This piece is framed within the contemporary current of emotional realism with symbolic roots, where technical virtuosity is not an end in itself, but a means to generate images that move through serene contemplation. It is also related to visual neoromanticism, very present in today’s collectible art, which explores spirituality from an elevated yet accessible and emotive aesthetics. The choice of a female angel as protagonist redefines notions of strength, protection, and beauty, linking them to silence and vulnerability as forms of emotional resistance.
