Wxyz (1980) - "322-1"

WXYZ (1980) – “322-1” (2026) Original Concrete Sculpture – Unique Piece (1/1) Original concrete sculpture, entirely handcrafted and hand-painted with acrylics by French street artist WXYZ. With this interpretation of his emblematic “322-1” character, WXYZ pays a direct tribute to his roots in graffiti culture, transforming the visual language of urban walls into a three-dimensional contemporary artwork. The sculpture features a striking composition of bright yellow graffiti tags layered over a dynamic red and chrome background, enhanced by touches of electric blue. The vibrant yellow lettering contrasts beautifully with the metallic silver tones and bold red geometric lines, creating a powerful visual effect. The interplay of colors, overlapping shapes and graphic movements evokes the spontaneous energy of graffiti-covered city walls. The chrome-inspired finish brings a luminous, almost industrial dimension to the piece, while the yellow tags introduce the unmistakable signature of street culture. Each sculpture is individually cast in concrete, carefully finished and painted by hand. The subtle texture and natural imperfections of the material remain visible, reinforcing the connection between the artwork and the raw surfaces of the urban environment. From Graffiti to Sculpture The “322-1” is an emblematic figure in WXYZ’s artistic universe, born from his transition from graffiti to sculpture. Its name refers to Article 322-1 of the French Penal Code, concerning damage to property — a deliberate reference to the artist’s origins in the graffiti movement. Through this distinctive character, WXYZ gives physical form to the codes of street art, combining architectural geometry, contemporary urban aesthetics and the expressive freedom of graffiti. Both sculptural and graphic, this unique piece offers a compelling dialogue between raw concrete, metallic effects and vibrant color.
