Wxyz (1980) - "322-1"

WXYZ (1980) – “322-1” (2026) Original Concrete Sculpture – Fluorescent Graffiti Edition – Unique Piece (1/1) Original concrete sculpture, entirely handcrafted and hand-painted with acrylics by French street artist WXYZ. With this vibrant interpretation of his emblematic “322-1” character, WXYZ explores the expressive power of fluorescent colors and the spontaneous energy of urban graffiti, transforming raw concrete into a striking contemporary artwork. The sculpture features an explosive composition of fluorescent yellow, electric pink, vivid green, turquoise blue and intense red, contrasted by deep black, grey and white accents. Layers of bright acrylic paint, expressive brushstrokes, splashes and spontaneous drips overlap across the sculptural surface, creating a dynamic visual composition reminiscent of graffiti-covered city walls. The powerful contrast between luminous neon tones and darker areas gives the artwork remarkable depth and visual intensity. The interplay of colors, textures and abstract movements creates an almost electric effect, making the sculpture particularly eye-catching. The fluorescent palette brings a bold, contemporary dimension to the piece, while the irregular paint applications preserve the raw and instinctive spirit of street art. Each sculpture is individually cast in concrete, carefully finished and painted entirely by hand. The subtle texture and natural imperfections of the material remain visible beneath the layers of color, reinforcing the connection between the artwork and the rough surfaces of the urban environment. From Graffiti to Sculpture The “322-1” is an emblematic figure in WXYZ’s artistic universe, born from his transition from graffiti to sculpture. Its name refers to Article 322-1 of the French Penal Code, concerning damage to property — a deliberate reference to the artist’s origins in the graffiti movement. Through this distinctive character, WXYZ gives physical form to the codes of street art, combining architectural geometry, contemporary urban aesthetics and the expressive freedom of graffiti. Both sculptural and pictorial, this unique piece creates a compelling dialogue between raw concrete, fluorescent abstraction and the vibrant visual language of contemporary urban art. Its bold colors and powerful graphic presence make it a distinctive collectible artwork, equally suited to a contemporary interior, a modern art collection or an urban art gallery.
