Where the wind meets the sea by Gary Westall Painting 11.8 x 9.5 :: This painting was created during the annual plein air event in Klopotowo on an excursion to Ustronie Morskie–Wieniotowo on the Polish Baltic coast right in the midst of nature. I wanted to capture the fleeting moment when light wind and sea merge into one. The vastness of the beach the play of the clouds and the movement of the waves inspired me to capture this special moment. By painting en plein air I was able to authentically convey the immediate atmosphere and freshness of the landscape onto the canvas. I hope that viewers will let their gaze wander across the Baltic Sea and for a moment feel the tranquility and freedom of this place. Signed lower right.
