A Wedgwood silver lusterware pitcher featuring a bulbous ceramic body with a tapered neck and a pinched spout. The exterior is decorated with applied relief-molded neoclassical scenes depicting a cherub and figures dressed in classical robes. The central frieze is bordered by two horizontal bands of repeating quatrefoil and floral motifs. The interior is finished with a white glaze. The underside of the base is impressed with the maker mark WEDGWOOD and the country of origin ENGLAND. Additional impressed marks include the letter S and number 36. A circular paper label for the Rubin Collection is affixed to the base.
