Wayne Trapp (American, 1935-2016), Shield

2002, patinated aluminum and bronze wall sculpture, incised signature and date "Trapp 02" to the lower left, the posterior wired for wall display. 52 12 x 25 1/4 x 6 in. Private Collection, North Carolina Wayne Trapp grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, but lived in western NC since the early 1980s. He received his BFA from Ohio University and further studied at the Pratt Institute, the Art Students League of New York, and Pittsburgh's Art Institute. Good estate condition.
