A beautiful specimen of the iconic Waterman LeMan 200, executed in timeless deep black lacquer with elegant gilded details. The Waterman Le Man 200 was introduced in the 1980s as the slimmer, highly balanced little brother to the flagship Man 100. The model blends French luxury and craftsmanship with fantastic writing comfort. This particular example is equipped with a two-tone solid 18-carat (750) gold "Ideal" nib and comes in the original royal-blue Waterman presentation box with a gold-colored suede-look interior. Specifications: Brand: Waterman Model: Le Man 200 Classic Black GT (Gold Trim) Production: Made in France (late 1980s / 1990s approx.) Finish: High-quality body finished with deep black lacquer layers; 23.5 Kt. gilded rings and clip. Nib: Original two-tone 18K (750) gold nib, marked with "Waterman Ideal Paris 18K 750 France". Nib size: F (Fine) — in line with the "F" engraving on the flat feed at the bottom. Filling system: Suitable for Waterman ink cartridges as well as an ink converter (for bottled ink). Accessories: Includes the original, vintage Waterman storage box. Condition report: The fountain pen is in a gorgeous, very neat condition with only light, inevitable signs of fine hand use (superficial micro-scratches on the lacquer and gilded parts). No deep scratches, dents, or breaks. The two-tone gold nib is in excellent condition and provides a smooth writing experience. The box shows light aging signs on the inside, but closes correctly and presents very well.
