A rare opportunity to acquire two original animation drawings from Mickey's Garden, a Walt Disney Productions short film released on July 13, 1935, and directed by Wilfred Jackson. This classic Silly Symphony-era Mickey Mouse cartoon features animation by some of Disney's greatest talents. The lot includes two drawings from the same production: Drawing n°150 : The Stag Beetle, rendered in graphite and red/blue color pencil. A close-up of the giant insect's head, full of energy and menace. Numbered 150 in the lower right corner. The annotation "NB – No odd numbers up to 166" is inscribed on the sheet, a production note indicating the inbetweening sequence. Drawing n°204 : Mickey Mouse in full figure, running at full speed, surrounded by dust clouds, rendered in graphite and red color pencil. Numbered 204 in the lower right corner. Both drawings are on standard 12-field, 2-peghole animation paper (33 × 27 cm each). Condition is very good overall, with light edge wear and faint age-related toning consistent with their 90-year age, entirely normal and expected for paper this old. Framing: The two drawings are presented together in a custom conservation-grade frame (made in France): baroque silver-leaf style moulding, acid-free natural white double-window mat, anti-reflective UV-filtering plexiglass, barrier board backing, and isorel mount. Frame dimensions: 69 × 44 cm. Ready to hang. This lot is sold with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Crayons & Cellulos, a french gallery specializing in original American animation art.
