Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Wall decoration - Exquisite Decorative Wall Applique /...
Object and Style: Magnificent wall décor piece in a classical style, conceived as a three-dimensional frieze or hanging garland. It represents a traditional botanical motif of great baroque elaborateness and elegance, ideal to bring a touch of distinction and warmth to any interior. Materials and Design: The piece features a laborious high-definition relief carving, composed of a dense cluster of varied flowers (roses, daisies and stylized daisies) intertwined with leaves and natural foliage. It stands out for its delicate hand-painted polychromy, which combines subtle earth tones, ochres, powdered shades and pink accents on a base of leaves in greenish/gray tones, giving the piece exceptional depth and realism. Function and Placement: Originally designed as a wall ornament (ideal for framing doors, mirrors, fireplaces or as a standalone decorative centerpiece). On its back it has an integrated hook system to facilitate secure and firm mounting to the wall. Condition: The piece is in very good overall condition, with a solid structure and the original polychromy well preserved, showing the patina that comes with time and gives character and authenticity to the work. (Please examine the photographs in detail to appreciate the quality of the finishes and the overall condition).
