Wall decoration - Art Nouveau wall plaque

The wall plaque, dating from the heyday of the Jugendstil period (circa 1890-1910), depicts an elegant, seated woman / nymph by a water feature with water lilies and with two swans. The detailed high-relief depiction is executed in metal with a rich, layered bronze patina, framed by gold-colored, graceful whiplash ornaments. The whole is mounted on a sturdy panel of solid oak, which provides a beautiful, warm contrast with the metalwork. The object is in good, authentic condition with a natural patina that testifies to its historical age.
