Vortex of Mother-of-Pearl Turbo marmoratus - Height: 168...

Turbo Marmoratus – Mirror of Mother-of-Pearl — Polished and smooth shell with extreme care to reveal the hidden wonder: a vortex of mother-of-pearl with green reflections, pink and shifting iridescences, that seems to guard within it the breath of the Tahiti sea. Belonging to the species Turbo Marmoratus, a tropical-sea gastropod, this specimen has been selected for its exceptional quality and for the perfectly developed mother-of-pearl veins, visible thanks to a finishing process carried out entirely by hand. The spiral, so perfect as to seem a symbol carved by time, evokes the cyclical nature of the environment and the slow unfolding of marine energy. The basal area preserves part of the original structure and offers a color contrast with the blue-green of natural oxidations: an authentic signature of the ocean. An object that transcends the simple shell: organic art, natural sculpture, mirror of the deep. Ideal as a collectible item, for cabinet de curiosités, spaces dedicated to design or to meditation. Every detail tells the story of a distant place and of the time that, patiently, forged it.
