About: The Porzellanmanufactur Plaue was founded in Plaue in Thuringia in 1817. This became known Thuringian manufacturer through their since 1849 at the suggestion of Gottfried Henklein made lithophanes , which was then in the form of window frames and light shades and today as Lithophanie lights are manufactured. Bruno Schaufer designed for Manufactur in the 1930s . After reunification , the Porzellanmanufactur Plaue was taken over by the Porzellanfabrik Tettau (a 100% subsidiary of Seltmann Weiden) in 1995 and still produces today in the building of the Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur in Volkstedt (Rudolstadt).
