Voigtländer Vitomatic II Analogue camera

Voigtlander Vitomatic II was introduced in 1958; all Vitomatics are derived from the Vito B. Features of the Voigtlander Vitomatic II To determine exposure, you can look through the viewfinder at the illuminated frame. Additionally, practically all the functions of the Vitomatic I were retained. The Voigtlander II uses a Color-Skopar 1:2.8/50 lens and the shutter PRONTOR SLK-V. Initially with speeds up to 1/300 second. Subsequently the latest series “closed” at 1/500 of a second with and without the auxiliary green numbers. The Voigtlander Vitomatic II has the legendary Color-Skopar 2.8/50 lens. It was introduced by Voigtländer in 1949 as a Skopar objective with color correction. The Color-Skopar is distinguished above all by its high sharpness. After all, Voigtländer’s slogan was “Why is the lens so good.” It is surely still regarded today as a very high-quality lens. Obviously the cameras in the Vitomatic series were the best of the Vito line. Despite their name, they are by no means automatic. They were fully mechanical cameras.
