Vintage sigaren- en sigarettenkist met muziekdoos – geometrisch decor en ‘Dr

Vintage cigar- and cigarette chest with a music box – geometric decor and 'Dr. Schiwago' A stylish combination of smoking culture and musical nostalgia. This decorative wooden box stands out for its warm golden-brown color, vibrant wood grain, and striking lid ornament. The image of a smoking cigar immediately shows what the box was intended for. Black geometric ornamental bands with triangle motifs run across the lid, giving the whole a strong, graphic appearance. The rounded profiling, dark accent lines, and four block-shaped feet complete the polished design. The interior is also attractively finished. The interior features profiled resting slots for smoking products, a separate ribbed section on the right, and a row of circular cut-outs on the inside of the lid. A special detail is the built-in wind-up music mechanism. At the underside are the winding key and a label with the inscription 'Dr. Schiwago'. This presumably refers to the famous film music by Maurice Jarre for Doctor Zhivago from 1965, with the beloved Lara’s Theme. A charming connection between a classical smoking accessory and the music history of the 1960s.
