Large Traditional Chinese Lacquered Wood Jewelry Chest in Red, Brass, and Jade Plaques — 20th Century Details & Finishes: Front: Two hinged doors incorporating mirrors, adorned with endless knot brass motifs (symbols of longevity and prosperity). Closure: Traditional central brass clasp with its removable sculpted lock. Storage: Two hinged doors opening onto four stacked drawers. A lower drawer equipped with an ornate brass handle and set with two lightly carved jade medallions. Interior lined with embroidered fabric. Sides: Decorated with engraved brass plaques and medallions and carved hardstone.
