Vintage Cluster Ring With Sapphires & Diamonds in White Gold, ca. 1970

The cluster ring here is a jewel with a special charm. Starry-bright diamonds and midnight-blue sapphires are arranged in staggered circles in a way that made us think of a dress swaying in dance: the waves of gemstones rise and fall in time to the music, much like a dress whose dancer is spinning. The circa 1970 ring is forged from high-carat white gold and gathers 1.70 ct of natural blue sapphires and 1.61 ct of sparkling brilliant cut diamonds. The design presents the gemstones raised high above the finger, in keeping with the taste of the time: this allows the stones to show off their fire and brilliance to the full.
