Vincenzo Capozzi (XX) - Positano

Splendid and important oil painting on canvas by master Vincenzo Capozzi (napoli1943), a renowned exponent of contemporary Neapolitan landscape painting. The work depicts a suggestive nocturnal view of Positano by moonlight, with characteristic gozzi (fishing boats) moored in the foreground and the coastal town lavishly illuminated, climbing up the rock. An iconic subject, rendered with extraordinary mastery of the use of points of light and the reflections on the water.
