Vincent Decat - Vincent Decat - Table lamp - Concrete, Brass - Earth Lamp

My pieces are designed to be companions rather than possessions. I give my objects organic and animated characteristics, hoping that people will become attached to them like pets. Vincent Decat is a Paris-based artist-designer, trained at the Design Academy Eindhoven, who explores the boundaries between design and sculpture. He considers the durability of an object not only through its materials, but above all through the emotional connection it evokes. By making his objects almost alive, they become companions that you must care for, keep, and cherish. Earth Lamp is a handcrafted table lamp with warm colors, in burned terracotta tones. Its chunky base with slight irregularities and nuanced hues gives it a unique character. A brass socket connects to a shade shaped like a flared bell, in a deep matte brown. Technical details: Cable length: 2.5 meters. Operates on 220–230 V with Type E plug.
