Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / Vimopar - HERA -XL
Vimopar is a Spanish visual artist, a Doctor of Art and Research, with a consolidated career supported by awards and selections in the field of contemporary art. Their work combines figurative painting with research in image and visual language. Their work can be viewed on the Instagram profile @molina.pardo, where they develop a broad practice that includes painting, animation, and 3D printing, with long-duration processes. Parallel to this, they have created the profile @vmp_justicia_pictorica, focused exclusively on painting, currently accessible only to collectors and participants on Catawiki. This original work, created in 2026, is part of a painting line particularly attractive to collectors for its direct character, limited availability, and active circulation in the market. In these pieces, the artist concentrates the intensity of the process into immediate decisions, generating works with a strong visual presence and a strong plastic identity. The composition unfolds as a figurative study based on an internal system of strictly pictorial codes. It does not respond to narrative or symbolic intent, but to visual laws —balance, tension, color, and gesture— that allow the image to sustain itself. This approach places the work within a highly valued contemporary tradition, where painting asserts itself as an autonomous object. In this particular canvas, the Queen of Cups tarot card is depicted, a card of the tarot usually associated with Hera, Zeus’s wife. The artist has aimed to add a divine attribute to this card, visually bringing it closer to the arcana of The Empress. The depicted object already contains numerous narrative connotations; overall, it is a painting of an optimistic character. Its execution in concentrated time allows capturing a freshness and energy difficult to achieve in prolonged processes, which increases its interest within the current collector context. Created with mixed media on canvas, the work combines acrylic, sanding with different grits, glazes with Liquin, and final oil, achieving a surface rich in nuances and a solid, stable painterly finish. Shipping is carried out ONLY with the canvas rolled up, protected with bubble wrap and cardboard or a rigid support, ensuring its proper conservation during transport. A relevant opportunity to acquire an original work by an established artist, in an active production line with growing interest among collectors.
