Vatican City - B38 isolated on a letter to Italy

The provisional issue was necessary to have a single stamp that matched certain rates for Italy, from common to relatively rare. The 2.55 denomination was used for registered mail to two ports (see the tariff in the first photo), a rate not exactly rare, but not that common either. The B38 specimen, signed AD, is superbly centered. The catalog value (Sassone 2021) is €1,300.

Estimation:€180
