Van Olsen (XX) - Coppia di paesaggi invernali

Van Olsen, Pair of 20th-century Flemish-Dutch winter landscapes Elegant pair of paintings depicting evocative winter landscapes, inspired by the Flemish and Dutch painting tradition of the 17th century. The two works, identical in size and presented in matching gilded frames, constitute a harmonious decorative ensemble, characterized by rich detail in the painting and atmospheres typical of North European landscape painting. First painting: "Winter Landscape with Fortified Building". The composition depicts a snow-covered landscape dominated by a fortified building, surrounded by rural houses and bare trees. Small figures animate the scene, while the cloudy sky adds depth and atmosphere to the whole. Second painting: "Winter Village with Skaters". The second painting features a village facing a sheet of frozen water, animated by skaters and figures in traditional clothing. The houses, trees and small boats contribute to the narrative richness of the composition. The works recall the style of winter landscapes in old Dutch painting, reinterpreted in a later era. Style: traditional landscape painting in Flemish-Dutch taste.
