Toutes les enchères / Autres / Val Saint Lambert - Candlestick Galatee (2) - Crystal - 2 VSL candelabras
Pair of clear cut crystal candlesticks (candle holders), signed Val Saint Lambert, Galatée model (or Galatee), an iconic piece from the Belgian crystalworks, dating from the 1980-90’s approximately. Elegant and geometric form typical of Art Deco style: central shaft with octagonal or polygonal faceting, composed of superimposed hexagonal sections that create intense prismatic light play. The base is a wide hexagon, fully cut with flat and beveled facets for perfect stability and maximum brilliance. The bobèche (candle cup) is also hexagonal, with a slightly flared rim and sharp, precise cuts that highlight the quality of the craftsmanship. Each candlestick is signed on the underside of the base (acid-etched or engraved Val Saint Lambert mark), confirming original authenticity. Dimensions per candlestick: - Total height: 12.5 cm - Width of the hexagonal base: 10.5 cm - Weight per piece: 750 g (substantial weight reflecting high-quality full-lead crystal) Condition: exceptional. The crystal displays remarkable clarity with no cloudiness or haze. No chips, no cracks, no nicks on the edges, facets, rims, or bobèches. No signs of repair, repolishing, or significant wear. Immaculate presentation, appearing very good, despite the age (some minor scratches under the base, barely visible when set down). Secure and fully insured shipping via Bpost. Carefully reinforced packaging (double box, individual custom padding, thick bubble wrap, protective layers to prevent any contact).
