This half-cut molded and pressed crystal vase belongs to the famous Luxval line from the Belgian Val Saint Lambert crystal manufactory. It is the Baden model, designed by Charles Graffart and René Delvenne for the Art Deco catalogue of the year 1935. The piece bears no engraved signature, which is entirely standard for the industrial production of the Luxval collection at that time. The vase comes in a rare and luminous color variation, a pure yellow evoking the shade of olive oil, a hue much less common than the traditional clear or amber versions. The decoration is typical of the thirties, with a central section adorned with highly raised diamond points, topped by a widely flared neck with flat ribs and a wavy rim. The object is solid and has an individual and total weight of 1500 g. In terms of its metric dimensions, the vase stands 20.5 cm tall and the outer diameter at the neck measures 15 cm. The vase is in very good overall condition. The glass has preserved its transparency and surface brilliance. Only a few light superficial signs of wear and small nicks under the base are present, quite normal given its age and handling. An original small air bubble is also visible within the mass at one of the diamond points, which serves as a classic indicator of the pressed glass casting methods of that period.
