Unworn Sustainable Ring With Vintage Diamonds From Our Workshop

The years around 1900 brought a profound change in the field of jewellery. If yesterday the designs were heavy and overloaded, now the taste demanded delicate, light, bright shapes and colors. The new century, it seemed, also demanded a new fashion: the new century should be bright, fresh and modern. Platinum was the material of the hour, combined with diamonds. These so-called "white jewels" were filigree and completely restrained in their formal language. Leaves, tendrils and light geometric shapes suddenly dominated the image, which until then had been populated by putti in large numbers. The memory of wonderful pieces of jewellery of that time has inspired our goldsmiths to create this ring, newly made and unworn, but as luminous as jewellery of the years around 1910. Nine diamonds are arranged symmetrically in one plane, staggered in size. They form a cross, and beyond that an octagon. Between them, milegrains sparkle and divide the metal. Small arches lead to the ring band on the right and left. The platinum ring is designed flat, making it wearable in everyday life. It reminds a bit of a signet ring, only it shines much more beautifully in the brilliance of the diamonds. These are used here in secondary use, i.e. they come from jewellery of the 1950s and 1960s and experience a new life here. Since the platinum was also obtained in this way, the ring is made as sustainably as possible.
