United States of America - WW2 US Son in service Wool...

Up for auction is a service banner flag, very early example, this never had a wooden hanger. You dont find these types often, usually the one with hanger. A perfect size for display, see my hand for scale. It has two stars, denoting two sons were in the service. Great patina, 100% original. Clearly flown flag with a beautiful patina. A service flag or service banner is a banner that family members of those serving in the United States Armed Forces could display during World War 2. The flag or banner is officially defined as a white field with a red border, with a blue star for each family member serving in the Armed Forces of the United States during WW2 (see attached photo's made during WW2!). Great and rare 100% original item for your US WW2 collection!
