This lovingly cared-for bisque porcelain head doll of German manufacture, whose charming gaze and timeless aura make every collector's heart skip a beat, is looking for a new owner. Details about the doll: Manufacturer & Origin: Unknown (very likely J. D. Kestner, Germany). Stamped on the neck with “Germany” and the size number “B 5 ½”. Age: Antique (ca. 1900–1915). Head: Very well-preserved bisque porcelain with finely painted eyebrows and lashes, glass eyes, and a slightly opened mouth. Body: Articulated ball-jointed body made of composition/wood with torso openings for an integrated voice box. Clothing: Charming ensemble consisting of a green coat with elegant faux fur trim, a matching hat with a pom-pom, and a yellow-green dress. Condition: The porcelain head is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. The clothing shows age-related, tiny holes. The voice box in the back is nonfunctional due to age (crying mechanism silent). Since one hand is somewhat darker, it may have been replaced. This little character has more than a hundred years of history behind it and is now seeking a new home where it will be valued as much as before. Ideal for doll collectors or lovers of antique treasures!
