For sale is a professionally refined collectible for fans of the Panik rocker: An official Udo Lindenberg museum card. Officially this historically significant motif bears the title "Seid willkommen in Berlin". It was created by Udo Lindenberg in the year 2000 as part of his celebrated studio album "Der Exzessor", on which the Berlin song with the same name appeared as a grand anthem to reunification, openness to the world, and pure joie de vivre. This museum card bears the title "Blooming Landscapes (with Brandenburg Gate)". The title is a direct, ironic allusion to the famous promise by Chancellor Helmut Kohl in 1990, who promised the citizens in the new federal states "blooming landscapes". This collectible was issued as an exclusive limited edition for the grand museum exhibition "Zwischentöne/Nuances" at the renowned Museum of Fine Arts (MdbK) Leipzig. The exhibition took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Peaceful Revolution. This edition was produced in relatively small numbers and sold on-site to visitors at the museum. It is not a regular mass-produced item and is not ordinarily available for retail. For Udo Lindenberg personally, the work "Seid willkommen in Berlin" holds immense emotional significance and reflects a central milestone in his entire biography. As a musician who spent years fighting for his performance in the GDR and who experienced German division up close, he dedicated a lasting, celebratory monument to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the newly gained freedom. The work shows the Brandenburg Gate – the ultimate symbol of German unity – surrounded by a colorful, extravagantly celebrating festive crowd, toasting with champagne glasses, dancing on the monument, and bringing Lindenberg's credo "Let the Tolerances Dance!" to life.
