The work consists of a central main panel (vertically divided into two mirrored or interlocking sections) and two narrower side panels, designed to frame the scene. The panels feature rich decoration in red lacquer and gold (giltwood), typical of interior architectural elements, wedding furniture (such as canopy beds from the Ningbo region) or domestic altars.
