As the fame of Marten Toonder Studios approached its peak, the Tom Poes Weekblad was launched. In the weekly magazine, young studio employees were given the chance to publish their comic strips. A number of them would later become giants in the comic world and left splendid bodies of work. For example Hans G. Kresse (among others, Eric the Noorman), Piet Wijn (among others, Douwe Dabbert) and Henk Sprenger (among others, Kick Wilstra). There would be a total of 188 issues published between 1947 and 1951. Between 2009 and 2012, publisher Boumaar reprinted these 188 issues in 13 beautiful hardcover volumes. This series has been out of print for several years with the publisher. As a conclusion, a very limited edition of “part 14” was produced; a box/portfolio with 20 art prints of drawings never before published, created by illustrators from Marten Toonder Studios. This portfolio is inseparably the 14th part of the 13-volume series as published by Boumaar. By acquiring such a portfolio, the 14-volume series is completed. This lot contains such a portfolio. There are 20 art prints (one of which is a doublure). The full contents are shown in the photos. See the photos which form part of the description and which best illustrate the quality.
