# TIBALDI IS BACK More than a century after its foundation, Tibaldi returns to celebrate the timeless pleasure of writing. The Bononia—the Latin name for Bologna—is a bold expression of Tibaldi's heritage, combining the elegance of Italian craftsmanship with a contemporary spirit. Crafted from luxurious Italian pearlized resin and finished with refined gold-plated trims or palladium, every Bononia is unique, with natural marbling that ensures no two writing instruments are ever exactly alike. This is not just another Bononia. It is a **one-of-a-kind prototype**, created as a design study and never officially released to the market. Only a single example exists, making this an extraordinary opportunity to own a truly unique piece of Tibaldi history. Inspired by one of the world's greatest civilizations, this exceptional Bononia pays tribute to the timeless legacy of Ancient Egypt. The barrel and cap are entirely engraved with the iconic **Ankh**, also known as the **Key of Life**, one of the oldest and most recognizable symbols of the Egyptian civilization. Dating back over 4,000 years, the Ankh represented life and eternity and was frequently depicted in the hands of pharaohs as a symbol of their enduring legacy. The engraving has been thoughtfully designed so that, while writing, the owner enjoys the beauty of the Ankh from one side, while the opposite side reveals the same remarkable symbol to those who admire the pen. Every detail transforms this writing instrument into a celebration of history, art, and exceptional craftsmanship. Designed to become an extension of your hand, the Bononia offers a truly personal writing experience. It is available as a Fountain Pen, Rollerball, or Ballpoint. If you choose the fountain pen, you may select your preferred nib: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, or Double Broad. Each fountain pen is supplied with both a converter for bottled ink and ink cartridges, allowing you to write exactly as you prefer. Should you be looking for another finish or configuration, we will be delighted to assist you. A pen is more than a writing instrument—it is a reflection of your personality, your ambitions, and your legacy. Whether signing an important document, capturing an unforgettable idea, or adding a remarkable piece to your collection, this unique Bononia represents the perfect union of Italian luxury and the enduring fascination of Ancient Egypt. Founded in Florence in 1916 by Giuseppe Tibaldi, the brand has embodied the finest traditions of Italian craftsmanship for more than a century. Since 2009, Tibaldi has been part of the Aquila family, owners of the legendary Montegrappa, continuing to preserve its heritage while embracing innovation and uncompromising quality. Each Tibaldi writing instrument is carefully inspected, assembled, and securely packaged before dispatch. Orders are shipped via DHL Express and are covered by a 24-month international warranty against manufacturing defects. Write your story. Preserve your ideas. Leave your legacy. With Tibaldi, every word matters.
