Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Three phallic symbols, Fon, Benin, 19th-20th centuries

Descriptio Wrought iron. Measurements: 15, 18, and 22 cm in length. Set of three phallic-shaped ritual objects made of wrought iron, linked to the Fon artistic and ceremonial tradition. The pieces have elongated and schematic structures, with slight variations in proportion and finish, maintaining a sober, handcrafted execution with strong symbolic meaning. The surface retains a dark patina, oxidation, and irregularities characteristic of hand-worked iron and consistent with its age. Lot in international warehouse (within the EU). Intra-EU shipping: no import duties apply within the EU. An export permit from the country of origin may be required. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
