Busch Theater Binocular "Multinett" D.R.G.M. with Antique Case I am offering at auction a magnificent and rare theater binocular, the folding model "Multinett" produced by the renowned German optical house Emil Busch. A piece of great charm. On the central frame, the engraving with the signature "Busch" is clearly visible, topped by the classic sunburst logo, followed by the inscription "Multinett." There is also the marking D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster), which certifies the registration of the design patent in Germany, placing the production of this jewel approximately between the 1920s and 1930s. The binocular boasts an exceptionally compact mechanical structure. The hinge system allows the lenses’ barrels to flatten parallel to the frame, making it a true pocket binocular or evening handbag binocular. The body is characterized by a refined dark red/bordeaux glossy color. The lens barrels are adorned with an elegant textural finish. The central knurled wheel allows for focusing. The item is accompanied by a delightful vintage case in soft brown suede-like fabric. The case features a classic metal snap closure ("clic-clac") and is shaped to accommodate and protect the binocular when it is fully closed. The object is presented in excellent conservational condition, showing a splendid and natural patina of time that enhances its authenticity and lived history.
