Descriptio Alabaster sculpture. This complex and dynamic composition reproduces with remarkable virtuosity the famous scene of the Rape of the Sabine Women, immortalized by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. The work depicts three figures intertwined in a whirlwind of movement, where the drama is accentuated by gestures of desperation, struggle, and power. The woman, suspended with her arm raised, conveys tension and fragility; the young man holding her displays a vigorous anatomy, while the third figure, squatting, intensifies the ascending effect of the whole. The treatment of the alabaster, with its smooth, translucent surface, favors refined modeling in volumes and smooth transitions, evoking the idealized aesthetic of 19th-century Neoclassical sculpture.
