THE EDUCATION OF A PRINCE — COLOR VARIANT PÉKA. The Education of a Prince by Mme de P…… [Paris, circa 1870–1871]. Colored satirical lithograph depicting a partially nude woman instructing a young prince in a luxurious interior. On the left, an Eastern figure observes the scene from behind a drape; a crucifix, paintings, and richly decorated furniture complete the composition. Signed “Péka” in the stone. Colored print with predominant blue and red tones. Minor losses and tears in the margins, particularly in the upper right corner; some foxing.
