Toutes les enchères / Tapis, Tapisseries & Textiles / The Breath of the Imperial Dragon - Upholstery fabric - 3 m - 2.8 m
This fascinating cotton upholstery fabric features a decorative motif strongly inspired by the artistic tradition of the Far East. On an elegant light background, majestic oriental dragons weave and seem to float among stylized clouds, creating a dynamic composition rich in symbolism. The dragons, depicted with sinuous bodies and intricately detailed scales in warm tones of red and amber, move gracefully across the fabric. Their intense expressions, long flashing whiskers, and pointed crests recall ancient depictions found in Asian imperial paintings and textiles. Around these mythical creatures develop soft decorative clouds in green and ivory tones, drawn with flowing lines that evoke the movement of air and energy. The overall effect creates a harmonious visual rhythm in which the dragon appears to emerge and disappear among the clouds, as if crossing a mythological sky. The design is elegant and scenographic, capable of combining artistic tradition with strong decorative character. This fabric is made of high-quality cotton upholstery fabric with a compact, durable weave that makes it ideal for coverings and decorative applications. The natural cotton enhances the depth of the drawing’s colors and allows the details of the figures to be appreciated clearly. The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification guarantees that the fabric is free from harmful substances and compliant with international textile safety standards, making it suitable for use in domestic environments. Thanks to its strong decorative character, this fabric is perfect for upholstering armchairs, chairs, or small sofas that immediately become focal elements of the interior. It is also ideal for decorative cushions that bring an artistic and refined touch to interiors. It can also be used for decorative curtains, textile panels, or upholstered headboards, creating environments with exotic and refined charm. It integrates perfectly into eclectic, oriental, or contemporary spaces. In Chinese culture the dragon is one of the most powerful and symbolic creatures of tradition. Unlike the Western imagination, where the dragon is often seen as a threatening creature, in the East it represents luck, prosperity, and benevolent strength. For centuries the dragon has been a symbol of the emperor and his heavenly authority. In Chinese imperial palaces there were hundreds of dragon representations carved, painted, or woven, as it was believed these figures protected the realm and balanced heaven and earth. Size: 3.00 x 2.80 meters. The colors of the fabric shown in the photo may vary slightly from the actual color depending on the device you use to view it. ATTENTION! Care and Maintenance: To maintain the beauty and quality of your premium fabric over time, follow these simple care instructions: Washing: It is recommended to wash the fabric by hand or in a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30°C. Use a mild detergent free of aggressive bleaching to preserve the vivid colors. Drying: Avoid the dryer to prevent damaging the fibers. Lay the fabric flat to dry in the open air, avoiding prolonged direct sun exposure, which could cause colors to fade. Ironing: Iron the fabric at a low temperature, preferably with a cotton cloth over it, to avoid direct contact with the iron and keep the fabric surface flawless. Professional cleaning: If used for furniture upholstery or large surfaces, professional dry cleaning is recommended for safer, longer-lasting maintenance. By following these simple guidelines, your fabric will maintain its beauty and integrity over time, continuing to enhance your spaces with style and refinement.
