The Beatles - Meet The Beatles! (Japan) – Rare White...

A lovely and highly collectible Japanese white label promotional pressing of Meet The Beatles!, released in 1976 on Apple Records under catalogue number EAS-80562. This is a beautiful complete example, including the original country flag obi and Japanese insert, with Near Mint vinyl that appears completely unplayed. What makes this edition particularly special is its white label promotional pressing, featuring the distinctive white Apple labels instead of the familiar green commercial Apple labels. These special editions were manufactured for promotional distribution to radio stations and the Japanese music industry, making them a considerably less common variation for dedicated Beatles collectors. This release also belongs to the famous 1976 Japanese Country Flag Obi Series, a collection of Beatles albums distinguished by their colourful obi strips featuring the flag of the country where the album originally appeared. Meet The Beatles! was number 16 in the series, representing the original American album. Unlike the regular US sleeve, this edition features a beautifully presented gatefold cover with Japanese liner notes and photographs inside, capturing one of the most exciting moments in popular music history with tracks including I Want To Hold Your Hand, This Boy, All My Loving and It Won't Be Long. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): A nice, well-preserved original gatefold sleeve showing only light signs of age and handling wear. The overall presentation remains clean and attractive → VG+ Vinyl (NM): Beautiful Near Mint condition with an exceptional glossy finish. The vinyl appears completely unplayed, with no audible surface noise or significant marks → NM Obi / Insert: Original country flag obi and Japanese insert included, both present and intact. ⸻ Details * Japan 1976 pressing * Apple Records / Toshiba-EMI * Catalogue number EAS-80562 * White label promotional edition * Original gatefold sleeve * Complete with country flag obi * Japanese insert included * Made in Japa
