Highly collectible 1978 Japanese pressing of The Beatles' 1962–1966, universally known as the "Red Album", issued by Apple / Toshiba-EMI under catalogue numbers EAS-50021 / EAS-50022. This is the desirable Japanese LIMITED RED VINYL edition, with both records pressed on striking translucent red vinyl. These Japanese coloured-vinyl Beatles pressings are particularly sought after for their distinctive presentation and strong Toshiba-EMI manufacturing quality. The translucent red wax remains especially attractive and makes this one of the most visually appealing Japanese Beatles issues. 1962–1966 brings together the essential first half of The Beatles' career, covering their rise from the early Merseybeat singles through the increasingly sophisticated songwriting of the Rubber Soul and Revolver period. The collection includes an extraordinary run of classics such as "Love Me Do," "Please Please Me," "She Loves You," "I Want To Hold Your Hand," "A Hard Day's Night," "Eight Days A Week," "Ticket To Ride," "Help!," "Yesterday," "Norwegian Wood," "Nowhere Man," "Paperback Writer," "Eleanor Rigby" and "Yellow Submarine."
