Technical instrument Industrial - Germany - 1850-1900

Antique and attractive set of technical drawing and geometry instruments, preserved in its original wooden box with a purple velvet-lined interior. The set corresponds to the type of cases used by draftsmen, architects, engineers, surveyors, and students of technical drawing during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The set includes various precision instruments, including compasses, dividers, needlepoint compasses, ruling pens, and different delineation and adjustment accessories. One can observe regulating mechanisms with screws and joints, characteristic of technical instruments from this period. The tools display an attractive antique patina, with golden, bronzed, and dark tones produced by time and use. The box also preserves a marked original character and a nice appearance as a working object used for generations. Condition The set is in old and used condition, with signs of wear and preservation appropriate to its age. The box shows scratches, small losses, knocks, signs of use, and wear on the wood. The hardware and clasps show rust and patina. The velvet interior shows wear, dirt, and some deteriorated areas. The metal tools show patina, superficial oxidation, stains, and wear typical of antiquity and use. Important: the set is not complete. Some original accessory/part of the set is missing, so it should be considered an incomplete case. No attempt has been made to reconstruct the original contents or replace the missing pieces. The items included are exactly those shown in the photographs. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow verification of both the contents and the condition of the box and instruments.
