Toutes les enchères / Vins & Alcools / Taylor’s Special Tawny Port - Gift Set with Decanter - Porto - 1 Bottle (0.75L)
Taylor’s Special Tawny Port – Bottled in 1982 – Original Presentation Gift Set A charming and collectible vintage presentation set from Taylor’s, Fladgate & Yeatman, one of the historic Port houses of Portugal, founded in 1692. This set consists of: * 1 bottle of Taylor’s Special Tawny Porto * 75 cl * Traditional Taylor’s bottle with original label and capsule * The bottle shows an old bottling indication, 1982, on the original label * 1 faceted glass decanter with stopper * Original green Taylor’s presentation box * Original satin-lined interior The set is particularly attractive for collectors of historic Port bottles, Taylor’s memorabilia and vintage Port presentation sets. The bottle is in good overall visual condition for its age, with the original label, capsule and Portuguese guarantee seal visible. The fill level appears good. Condition of the presentation box Please note that the original presentation box has visible age-related defects. There are some abrasions and damaged areas to the exterior, including a small area of wear/breakage at one corner. More importantly, the cardboard support underneath the satin lining inside the box is broken. As a result, the bottle and decanter are no longer firmly held in their original compartments and can move inside the box. The satin lining itself is still present, but the internal structure would require restoration if the buyer wishes to restore the presentation box to its original condition. These defects are clearly visible in the photographs and should be taken into consideration when bidding. Please study all photographs carefully, as they are an integral part of the description and show the actual condition of the bottle, decanter and presentation box. Important information This is a historic bottle of Tawny Port and its drinkability cannot be guaranteed. Storage conditions prior to the current ownership are unknown. The date 1982 refers to the bottling indication visible on the original bottle; this should not be interpreted as a 1982 Vintage Port. The decanter is included as part of the original presentation set. A beautiful and unusual collector’s item combining an old Taylor’s Port bottle, its original decanter and its original presentation case. A particularly attractive set for collectors of Taylor’s Port and historic Portuguese wine memorabilia.
