Marquetry musical sewing table of the 20th century Elegant marquetry sewing table / small musical side table in wood, richly decorated with vegetal motifs and arabesques made with contrasting wood species. The top features a very beautiful geometric composition centered around a medallion, surrounded by delicate floral scrolls. The front also repeats a particularly fine marquetry design, giving this small table a lot of character. The top opens and closes with a key. Inside there is a compartmentalized storage space, originally suitable for storing sewing materials or small personal objects. The table also has an integrated musical mechanism, characteristic of many decorative Italian marquetry tables produced especially in the Sorrento tradition, a region renowned for this craft.
