Table lamp (2) - Brass, Glass

Pair of bedside lamps - Shaped and hand-painted glass - 1950s Fascinating pair of table lamps/abat-jour in the 'bugia' style dating from the 1950s (Italian Mid-Century design). Diffusers are made of refined shaped glass, featuring a central frosted ice-effect section with a delicate hand-painted floral motif (rose) and gold/bronze-toned edging. The dark-bronze metal base echoes the classic candlestick form with a ring handle and incorporates the characteristic push-button switch of the era. • Period: 1950s • Country of origin: Italy • Material: Shaped glass, dark-bronze metal • Conditions: Excellent vintage condition. The glass parts are intact, with no chips or cracks. The paint is well preserved. Electrical components and original era plugs are functional, but as with all vintage items a pre-use check is recommended. • Bulb socket: E14 (bulbs included) A rare and elegant set, perfect for mid-century collectors and lovers of Italian vintage lighting.
