A VERY RARE type to encounter in more elevated states of preservation, the present piece towers above nearly all others on account of its incredibly wondrous eye appeal. The surfaces have acquired a refined and chromatic iridescent cabinet tone, while the level of circulation remains at a minimum. Meanwhile, the chopmarks, which are a ubiquitous aspect for the type, are here held to a minimum, not getting in the way of the design at all. Lastly, the remarkable pedigree, with it hailing from the fabled Goodman & Kann Collections, serves as a fantastic capstone to an already tantalizing example. Estimate: $30,000 - $50,000.
