Suzanne Lansé (1898-2002) - Paysage aux cyprès

Suzanne LANSÉ (1898-2002) - Large Southern Landscape with Cypresses - Oil on Panel Beautiful and luminous oil on panel by the French painter Suzanne Lansé (1898 - 2002). A pupil of the famous Albert Besnard, Suzanne Lansé masters the knife painting to perfection here, bringing a texture and a remarkable relief to the foreground. The work perfectly illustrates her constant quest for light through vibrant hues, and particularly highlights her famous “Lansé Blue,” visible in the gentle sky and the reliefs of the hills in the background. Although famous for her works depicting Haute-Savoie, this piece testifies to her travels and captures southern sun-drenched landscapes. Artist represented in prestigious art galleries.
