Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / Stabilized Turquoise - Promotes Meditation - 925 Silver...
I am auctioning a necklace of very large stabilized turquoise beads of superior quality. The entire necklace has been hand-knotted with a knot in between each stabilized turquoise bead, and the large clasp is sterling silver 925 with gold plating. In the context of Christianity, turquoise is associated mainly with celestial symbolism and protective properties. It is attributed a meaning similar to the teal-blue color, which is linked to heaven, the Holy Spirit, and divine peace. Additionally, turquoise has been used in religious objects and ornaments, such as crosses and reliquaries, for its supposed healing and protective properties, especially during the Middle Ages. Material: stabilized striped turquoise of fine sky-blue color with black veining - FIRST QUALITY Bead size: approximately 23 to 18 mm Necklace length: 42 cm Sterling silver 925 clasp with gold bath - marked "925" - large and solid Professionally hand-knotted necklace with knots between each bead Quality thread blend of silk and cotton Gift box and protective bag Stabilized turquoise is created by adding a resin to the soft turquoise to help enhance color and increase the stone’s hardness. Since turquoise is a highly porous material, the resin fills the tiny holes and cracks to form a firm, stabilized turquoise stone. Stabilized turquoise is considered a protective stone against negative energies. It promotes balance in communication and expression. It is also associated with the third eye, boosting meditation and intuition. Its energy is gentle and cool. The photos are part of the description.
