SPIROU - Journal Album, No. 75 - Lot 253

SPIROU - Journal Album, No. 75 Dupuis, 1960. Large quarto hardcover, red cloth spine, front cover illustrated in color. A very fine vintage collection of *Le Journal Spirou*, corresponding to issue No. 75, continuing the remarkable series of bound albums from the golden age of Franquin. The cover, which is particularly lively, depicts Spirou, Fantasio, the Count of Champignac, and the Marsupilami gathered around an imposing metal structure, in a highly graphic composition typical of the Dupuis collections from the early 1960s. This illustration, signed by Franquin, belongs to the most sought-after period of the series, a time of grand adventures blending scientific invention, humor, and the spirit of a serialized story. Issue 75 is well-documented in the specialized market for vintage collections.
