Ocean Jasper Egg – Orbicular Pattern, Madagascar An elegant polished Ocean Jasper egg from Madagascar, distinguished by a dense network of cream, ivory and pale beige orbicular markings set against a warm brown and taupe matrix. The surface displays countless small rounded and flower-like formations, creating the characteristic orbicular texture for which this material is appreciated. Their distribution varies naturally across the specimen, with some areas showing a finer, tightly packed pattern and others revealing broader pale patches that create attractive contrast and movement. The egg has been carefully shaped and polished to a high-gloss finish, enhancing the depth of the pattern and bringing out the subtle tonal variations throughout the stone. Under direct light, the polished surface reveals additional detail within the individual orbicular structures. Natural cavities and irregularities are visible in some areas, particularly toward the lower part of the specimen, and form part of the stone's original mineral structure rather than being considered defects. Its balanced egg-shaped form, combined with the complex natural pattern and neutral earthy palette, gives the specimen a strong sculptural presence. It is equally suitable for a mineral collection or as a distinctive decorative object. A highly attractive example of Madagascar Ocean Jasper, appreciated for its dense orbicular pattern, natural colour variations and beautifully polished presentation.
