SONA (1989) - Station de Metro - Urban Collection

The Artist: SONA Originating from Paris, SONA is a committed artist whose creative essence draws its roots from the pure subversion of the underground graffiti movement, having earned their early chops in the arteries of the Paris metro. Over the years, SONA has built a prolific and radical body of work, passionately pushing the boundaries of urban expression. Their distinctive aesthetics and bold vision quickly elevated them to a central figure in the contemporary scene. Deeply rooted in artistic activism, SONA orchestrates impactful urban interventions. Their work questions established dogmas and denounces the excesses of contemporary capitalism. Their art, decidedly subversive, asserts absolute freedom of expression in the face of a surveillance society. They now wage a fierce battle against the growing hegemony of artificial intelligence in the art world. In addition to solo works, SONA is an active member of the avant-garde collective NBZ (Notre Belle Zone), a reservoir of artists elevating street art to a true societal mirror. Represented by prestigious galleries in France and Belgium, their work has captivated collectors around the world.
