Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / SKE - TWO SIDES OF A LEGEND
"TWO SIDES OF A LEGEND" – Ultra-limited Edition (10 copies) - New collection Edition number: 02/10 Artist: SKE Artist Instagram: ske_shakeyourart Mixed media: digital painting (Procreate AI Photoshop) Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris Premium art paper – ISO A2 format (59.4x42 cm) – Signed, numbered – Certificate included There are heroes we have never truly left behind. With TWO SIDES OF A LEGEND, SKE unites in a single visage two inseparable images of Goldorak: the legendary machine and Actarus, its pilot. On the left, the metal, the golden horns and the instantly recognizable armor of the robot. On the right, the human behind the legend, helmet closed, gaze fixed on action. Two halves, a single memory. The composition plays with the border between man and machine, power and emotion. The deep black, paint splashes, and technical lines give the piece a very street-art energy, while red, blue, white and gold instantly reactivate the visual codes of the animated series that marked an entire generation. SKE does not seek here to reproduce a nostalgic image. He reconstructs a collective icon in his own language: bold, graphic, nerve-ridden, between pop culture, contemporary illustration and urban détournement. Designed as a genuine collector’s piece, the work is editioned in a limited series of 10 copies, on premium Hahnemühle art paper, in A2 format. Each copy is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, delivered with its certificate of authenticity and sold unframed. One image for those who have not forgotten the sound of Goldorak’s departure… and who know that a legend always has two faces. Specifications: • Limited edition of 10 copies • Printed on premium art paper • ISO A2 format (59.4x42 cm), easy to frame • Each copy signed and numbered by SKE • Delivered with certificate of authenticity • Shipped protected, reinforced packaging A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship element of your collection. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to regain its natural shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or home decor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and affordable; they showcase the artworks perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large portion of his body of work. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencils, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then chosen as Discovery of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October and has also appeared in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States, and Asia, reinforcing his place in the contemporary art scene. Parallel to this, SKE is also making waves in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, enhancing the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and texture play define a style that has become indispensable. SKE is undoubtedly a contemporary artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Ranked and Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion and the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: revisiting the classics, not hesitating to remix the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Necklace, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy to Pokemon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not forgetting mass-consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It’s vibrant art, with textures that sometimes resemble Jeff Koons’ glazed finish or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your interior. - Instagram artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
